On October 7–8, 2026, the Department of Byzantine and Modern Greek Philology, Faculty of Philology, Lomonosov Moscow State University will host the III International Scientific Conference “Teaching Greek: Methods, Innovations, Perspectives.” The conference continues the tradition established in 2024 and aims to bring together scholars and practitioners working on theoretical and practical issues of teaching Greek in various educational settings.

Thematic sections of the conference:

• Methods of teaching Ancient Greek;
• Methods of teaching Modern Greek in higher education;
• Modern Greek in school and extracurricular education;
• Teaching innovations in Greek language instruction;
• Development and practical use of Greek language textbooks and teaching materials;
• Application of new technologies in teaching Greek as a foreign language.

The conference will be held in a mixed format. Possible forms of participation:

• In‑person presentation;
• Remote participation (via ZOOM platform);
• Participation in discussions and Q&A sessions.

Working languages of the conference: Russian, Modern Greek, English.
Presentation time: 15 minutes per paper, followed by 5 minutes for discussion.

Participation in the conference is free of charge. All travel and accommodation expenses of the participants are to be covered by the sending institution.
